Carolynne McKendry is an experienced trainer, groupworker and facilitator with 17 years' experience in local authority education.
Until summer 2017, Carolynne was employed as an Education Health and Wellbeing Development Officer. This role involved developing and delivering a range of CPD courses for teachers, mainly in mental health. It also included developing resources and facilitating groups for children and young people.
Carolynne trained as a Mental Health First Aid instructor in 2006 and has trained hundreds of teachers in Mental Health First Aid. She currently works as a Health and Wellbeing Development Manager for a local Culture and Leisure Trust but continues her freelance work in the field of mental health and wellbeing. Her freelance clients have included The Scottish Government, HMiE, Education Scotland, DWP, Police Scotland, The Prince's Trust and a number of local authorities.
Carolynne is passionate about her subject and likes to look after her own health and wellbeing. She practices mindfulness, enjoys being physically active is an occasional radio presenter.
She is delighted to join AOK Learning as an associate tutor.
AOK delivers a varied programme of CPD training for teachers and the teaching profession.
Our workshops are limited to a maximum of 16 delegates which allows for close interaction between attendees and our tutors.
