Our event will run virtually over 2 consecutive sessions - 8th and 9th June. This course is designed for teachers who are new to Advanced Higher, or have little experience of teaching it. It would also be suitable for those who have been away from teaching it for a number of years. We will examine the changes to assessment in 2019/20, and the implications of these for teaching and learning.
There will be examples in French, German and Spanish, and the course will also look at how best to deliver AH in a composite class, or with substantially reduced contact time. The course will be very practical and interactive, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and seek advice. Guidance on a variety of potential teaching resources will also feature. At the centre of the course is improving attainment for learners.
