Scotland’s Mental Health First Aid (SMHFA) is a two day, certificated course which will give participants the knowledge and skills required to recognise people who may be having mental health difficulties and gives them a framework for how to offer help.
The course aims to provide vital information to new principal teachers and faculty heads whilst delivering practical information on managing a department. The course is suitable for both those already in the role and those aspiring to be in the role.
This course focusses on 3 main areas: the preparatory phase leading up to applying for a post as a DHT; the completion of a quality application form; and preparing for an interview, including presentation skills and interview techniques.
